Neighbourhood Support in Partnership with Civil Defence
Neighbourhood Support works closely with Civil Defence, and we encourage households and local groups to prepare together for any emergency.
A great place to begin is by connecting with the people who live around you. In a major event, your neighbours are likely to be the first ones able to help, as Civil Defence may take time to reach your area.
Cambridge Neighbourhood Support provides an Emergency Plan template that helps groups record useful information such as medical professionals living nearby, access details for the local defibrillator, and the skills or equipment residents could offer in an emergency.
If you’d like support developing an Emergency Plan for your neighbourhood, contact Cambridge Neighbourhood Support at info@safercambridge.co.nz.
