Cambridge Neighbourhood Celebrates Road Safety Week!

Thanks to everyone who joined in and helped make the week such a success.

Stay safe out there, Cambridge! 🚦✨ Cambridge Neighbourhood was thrilled to get the community involved in this year’s Road Safety Week.
It was a fantastic opportunity to shine a spotlight on the importance of staying safe on our roads, whether you're walking, cycling, or behind the wheel.

We had a great time spreading key messages about road safety and running some fun competitions to test everyone's knowledge. It was awesome to see so many people take part—and even better to see our winners’ big smiles when they received their prizes!

The answers to our quiz:

·        What’s the speed going past a stopped school bus picking up or dropping off students.

·         A: 20kph in either direction.

·        What’s the maximum speed for a car towing a trailer on the 110k Cambridge expressway.

·          A: 90kph

·        What is the recommended minimum distance you should allow when passing a cyclist.

·          A: 1.5m

·        What is the least distance of clear road you MUST have in front of you when you have finished passing another vehicle?

·        A: 100m

·        What rule should you use to judge a safe following distance in wet or frosty conditions if driving a car?

·          A: 4 second rule

·        On a bike should it be the front white or the back red light that is in flashing mode?

·          A: It is the back light that should flash, and the front light should have a steady beam.

Congratulations to some of our happy winners Thanks to everyone who joined in and helped make the week such a success.
