Carlyle Street is hosted by Rugby Sports Club

Leamington Rugby Sports Club connected Carlyle Neighbours

The Carlyle Street neighbourhood came alive last week as residents gathered for a community meeting generously hosted by the Leamington Rugby and Sports Club. The event was a chance for neighbours to catch up, meet new faces and start to strengthen the bonds that make a neighbourhood community thrive.

A Warm Thank You

The Rugby Club was keen to host this meeting as a thank you to Carlyle Street residents for being good neighbours and taking guardianship over the Rugby Club site.  The Club wants to support the community as they have received support!

Buzz of Connection

The atmosphere was vibrant, with enthusiastic conversations filling the room. Neighbours were eager to meet one another, and the buzz of chatter was a good sign of the strong community spirit that can be grown.  Children made good use of the games!

Looking Ahead

Formalities were kept to a minimum this time, allowing space for informal connection. However, plans are pencilled into the calendar for 2026, so that we can include all those who were unable to make it on this date.  Discussions will focus on safety, security, and the forward plans for the Rugby Club.

Community Support

The evening was made even more enjoyable thanks to the generous support of Westpac Cambridge, who once again provided a BBQ for the event. The delicious sausages, served with a smile from Westpac staff were much appreciated and added to the sense of celebration.

Closing Note

Organisers expressed gratitude to everyone who attended and look forward to welcoming residents back next year. With continued collaboration, Carlyle Street is on the road to becoming a warm, well connected and safer neighbourhood.
