Cambridge Community Stands Strong in Times of Crisis

In moments of uncertainty, one thing remains constant - the unwavering spirit of our community. The people of Cambridge have once again demonstrated their readiness to step up, proving that in times of crisis, we are never alone.

Recently, a woman collapsed in Victoria Square, prompting swift action from those who dedicate themselves to the safety and wellbeing of others. Our incredible Community Patrol was first to respond, providing crucial first aid with confidence and professionalism. Their efforts were soon supported by Todd from McKay Security, who quickly retrieved an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), ensuring the woman had the best possible chance of recovery.

Our local Police Sergeant, upon observing the efficiency and teamwork displayed by our local responders noted that his presence was hardly necessary. Such an acknowledgment speaks volumes about the effectiveness of our Community Patrol and the level of preparedness among those who serve and protect us daily.

Cambridge thrives not only because of its picturesque surroundings or rich history but because of the people who call it home. This incident is just one of many that illustrate the strong fabric that binds us together - a community where neighbours look out for one another, and where ordinary citizens step up to do extraordinary things.

To our Community Patrol, McKay Security, Police and all who contribute to keeping Cambridge safe, we extend our heartfelt gratitude. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and your actions continue to reaffirm that when adversity strikes, Cambridge stands strong.

Let us continue to support and uplift one another, ensuring that our town remains not just a place to live, but a community to be proud of.  If you know of similar community stories, please share them with us.
