Residents Hear About CNS Campaigns

On a warm afternoon Addison and Shaw Street neighbours came together to strengthen community ties, meet new faces, and engage in meaningful conversations.

Kathy from Cambridge Neighbourhood Support attended the event and shared an update of current campaigns.

  • Capable Communities: Empowering residents with knowledge, resources, and support to create a safe and connected neighbourhood that is well prepared for emergencies.

  • Connection Campaign: Encouraging individuals to build relationships with their neighbours, fostering inclusivity and a strong support system.

  • Youth Citizenship: Inspiring the next generation to become positive and active members of the community.

  • First Aid Courses (Heavily Subsidized): Providing access to essential first aid training so residents are prepared for emergencies and can support one another.

  • Community Patrol Presence at Night: Volunteers helping to maintain a safe environment by supporting local Police and keeping a watchful eye on the neighbourhood during the night.

It was a lovely afternoon filled with laughter, good conversations, delicious food including a sausage sizzle and other treats which made the gathering even more enjoyable. Everyone had the chance to mix, mingle, and strengthen their connections with one another, reinforcing the spirit of community.
